Is it permissible to transport CBD oil by plane?
Before you set off around the world, you should consider several aspects of your trip before you finally decide to take CBD oil on a plane. The most important of these will be the aforementioned issue of the legality of CBD oil in the country you are flying to.
For information on which countries in the world CBD is legal and which are completely banned, see this article: Where is CBD legal in the world?
CBD at the airport and on air travel - a real-life story
When looking for business partners abroad, I often travel by plane. When planning such a trip, I always keep in mind my CBD for its calming effect.
I make between a few and a dozen such journeys a year. 90% of them are journeys around Europe.
I always carry a 10 ml bottle with me in my boarding luggage CBD oil 10% Pure Hempand sometimes a packet of CBD capsules. For personal use.
Over the years, during airport security checks, my hand luggage has been through the manual check many times. The airport staff would carefully inspect the contents of the baggage, including the plastic bag into which, according to the rules, we put all our handheld cosmetics, liquids or other preparations.
On a few occasions it has happened that the customs officer has carried out a test for the presence of prohibited substances. In practice, he takes such a short white or light blue strip in his hand and touches it in several/several places inside the luggage. He also touches specific items that come to his attention.
The strip is then inserted into the analyser/detector, which shows the result after a few seconds.
This is exactly what CBD control at the airport looks like.
Any manual control CBD oil 10% PURE HEMP i PURE HEMP CBD capsules passed completely smoothly and without any problems, and the result of the chemical composition analysis, using the high-end detection equipment available at airports, was always negative.
Can the dog - an airport security officer - smell anything?
Police dogs are trained to detect terpenes including beta-caryophyllene and caryophyllene oxide. Both of these compounds are present in CBD oil or PUREHEMP full spectrum hemp oil. Although their concentration in our preparations is completely natural, it may happen that a dog specially trained for this purpose will "glance" in the direction of such a preparation at very close or even direct contact.
As long as you are transporting 1-2 bottles for your own use, they are sealed in a glass bottle and placed inside your luggage, I would rate the likelihood of such an event as very, very low.
However, if a dog should happen to take notice of the preparation you are transporting then be aware that the THC content of Pure Hemp's full spectrum CBD oil is always below 0.2% - this is fully legal CBD in oil form in many countries around the world, but not everywhere. If you have any doubts on the part of border patrol personnel, it is worth noting that Pure Hemp CBD oil is made from an industrial variety of hemp also known as industrial hemp.
Of course, situations at airports vary, are difficult to predict and the decisions taken by border guard personnel are sometimes not obvious. It may happen that the oil is detained for further analysis of the chemical composition to show if the THC content is at an acceptable level. If you have Pureh Hemp CBD oil, rest assured that the result will indicate that the product is legal and contains less than 0.2% THC.
Need to carry your CBD oil with you, but want to minimise the risk of problems at airports?
The solution is to purchase CBD oil from a reliable source, i.e. for example from the CBD shop Purehemp.pl, which sells only CBD oils tested for the presence of non-CBD cannabinoids as well. Our CBD oil is produced with the utmost care in sterile, laboratory conditions. It is safe and above all 100% legal. The risk of CBD at the airport being questioned is thus minimised.
Take a look at the pages of our shop. You're sure to find something to your liking:
If you are still concerned despite the above information, the solution may be to leave the CBD oil at home and acquire a new bottle abroad. I have also known of cases where CBD users have sent a bottle or two to a destination overseas a few days before they were due to fly out.
Summary: CBD at the airport
In principle, you should not encounter any problems transporting CBD oil for personal use at most airports in countries where hemp products are legal. However, do not take this statement as a guarantee. There have been known cases of confiscation, and this usually involves a potentially stressful situation at the airport where the tension, in its very nature anyway, may be a little higher than you are used to on a daily basis.
Of world interest, it is worth writing that the US Transportation Security Administration (TSA) allows CBD oils to be transported. You can find the official announcement on this and the conditions and instructions for handling here: https://www.tsa.gov/travel/security-screening/whatcanibring/items/medical-marijuana . So it looks like the future of the CBD at the airport is in calmer colours.
The legal situation for hemp products worldwide is complex and often still not entirely clear. The local legal systems of different countries vary in their approach to hemp products. Therefore, in a situation where you are unsure of the legal status of CBD in a particular country, the iron rule should be to stay at home and not travel with CBD.
